Homi Bhabha Balvaidnyanik Exam (Junior Scientist Exam) is conducted by Mumbai Science Teachers Association for students in Class 6 and Class 9. It has Physics, Chemistry, Biology and general scientific awareness as its main subjects.
The aim of the exam is to encourage students to take keen interest in science and its application in daily life.
Exam Format
Exam consists of three stages: written test, practicals and project/interview.
The written test consists of 100 questions and is held usually in September. Top 7-10% of students are selected for the practical stage which is held in November/December. Select students are then chosen for project/interview which is held in January.
